Company Background
From humble beginnings...
Brevient was founded by Matthew Lautz in 2001 at the mere age of 19. Struggling to find server management and CRM softwares that could meet the needs of his small, Linux-based custom development business, Lautz began to develop his own.
Lautz quickly recognized he wasn't the only one seeking custom business applications. He sought investment capital to begin his software company, bringing in partners from previous projects with him.
While Brevient grew its CRM and custom development business, audio and web conferencing products were added in 2003 and quickly became cornerstone applications. By 2006, dramatic increases in conferencing traffic called for the build out of a more complex voice and data network for the Mix Meeting conferencing products.
A typical entrepreneur, Lautz continued trying to solve technology voids in his personal life. A soccer coach in his free time, Lautz was tired of trying to reach players and their parents with phone trees and email chains. Using the existing infrastructure provided by the network build out, the Brevient team created Jyngle, a mobile mass voice and SMS messaging system.
...to promising futures.
In 2007, Brevient added a second data center at the Midwest's premier mission-critical telecommunications facility, Chicago's 350 Cermak building, to support its growing client base. The growth of conferencing and Jyngle, along with a powerful new network, paved the way for Brevient's latest venture of wholesale VoIP voice and data services. The unparalleled success of this trio of telecom related products pushed Brevient to sunset its CRM product line in late 2007 to focus entirely on voice services.
From a classic "business in the parents basement" beginning, today Brevient relies on a unique team of industry veterans and young professionals to produce first-class business telecommunications solutions.
Brevient is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with data facilities in Chicago, Illinois.
